Leviticus 18:6-29 have a very simple design and message. The purpose would be to determine the limits of godly personal intimate interactions. You will find three of those, which I contact the interior, center, and external limitations of godly sexuality. Passages 6 through 18 determine the “inner boundary,” prohibiting intimate connections with close loved ones. Verses 19 and 20 explain the “middle border,” which limits intimate connections within relationship and forbids all of them outdoors marriage. Verses 21 through 23 define the “outer border” of unnatural intimate connections. Passages 24 through 29 reveal about goodness’s view upon a nation that crosses these borders. They obviously reveal that Jesus’s judgment for sexual sin relates to all regions, not merely the covenant nation of Israel. (more…)
